Job Title - STEPS Clerical Assistant

Work Location - Lexington, KY

Salary Range - $15.00/hour

Type of Position - Temporary

Position Time Status - Full-Time

Required Education - Associate Degree

Physical Requirements - Sitting for long periods of time, ability to move about campus. Lifting, pulling of objects up to 25 lbs.

Shift - 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Job Summary - The Student Financial Aid office is currently seeking a STEPS Clerical Assistant to join their team. Duties may include: Responsible for data entry of PBS forms. Assist with office mail by stuffing envelopes, collecting mail from and delivering to mail room, opening, and forwarding to appropriate staff member. Scanning documentation into financial aid system. Assist with processing scholarship checks. Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision-making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities - Attention to detail, experienced with Microsoft Office, copying/scanning, filing, strong organizational skills.
