Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated STEPS Administrative Support Associate I to join our HR team. You will play a vital role in supporting employees, departments, and external organizations through the employment verification process by ensuring employment and income verification requests are processed accurately, efficiently, and confidentially. Working with a variety of HR systems and records, you'll serve as a trusted resource while maintaining compliance with privacy standards and university policies.

This position will:

  • Process employment and income verification requests received through shared inboxes and online systems
  • Research and validate employee information using SAP, Tableau, microfilm, and other records systems
  • Communicate professionally with employees, employers, government agencies, and third-party organizations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of verification activities
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and university policies
  • Assist with resolving discrepancies and escalating complex cases when needed
  • Support the HR Solution Center by assisting phone and walk-in customers
  • Perform administrative support duties including filing, scanning, record retrieval, mailing documents, copying, faxing, and preparing packets
  • Assist with special projects, audits, system transitions, and other HR initiatives as assigned
