Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $30–$32/hr based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Production Coordinator to oversee loaner and consignment tray coordination, support Sterile Processing Department (SPD) workflow operations, and ensure accurate instrument tracking and communication across vendors, clinical teams, and sterile processing staff. This role serves as a key operational liaison to maintain efficient, compliant, and timely instrument processing activities within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Loaner & Consignment Tray Coordination
- Manage all incoming and outgoing loaner and consignment trays
- Verify tray accuracy, completeness, and integrity before and after sterilization
- Coordinate with vendors, hospitals, surgery centers, and SPD teams to ensure timely tray processing and delivery
- Track and document tray movement throughout sterilization and return cycles
Production & Workflow Oversight
- Monitor and coordinate daily SPD production workflow
- Prioritize workloads to maximize operational efficiency
- Identify workflow delays, discrepancies, and bottlenecks while implementing proactive solutions
- Communicate production priorities with technicians and leadership teams
- Provide day-to-day workflow guidance and support to Production Technicians as needed
Communication & Relationship Management
- Serve as liaison between vendors, clinical teams, and SPD personnel
- Maintain consistent communication regarding tray status, schedules, and special requests
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare partners and surgery centers
Data Accuracy & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation within instrument tracking systems
- Ensure compliance with sterilization documentation and recordkeeping requirements
- Generate operational reports related to tray activity, workflow trends, and process improvements
- Support regulatory compliance through accurate and detailed documentation practices
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- 3–5 years of hands-on Sterile Processing Department (SPD) experience
- Strong experience with loaner and consignment tray management
- Experience coordinating with vendors, clinical teams, and leadership staff
Skills:
- Strong organizational and tracking abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with instrument tracking software and reporting systems
- Team-oriented mindset with strong accountability and problem-solving skills
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Certifications:
- CRCST or CSPDT Certification required
