Sterile Processing Shift Coordinator

Sterile Processing Shift Coordinator Responsibilities:

• • Responsible for all processing and sterilization activities inclusive of decontamination, preparation and packaging of instrumentation and sterilization for all items processed by the department.
• • Responsible for following predetermined workflow, writing monthly schedules, planning daily assignments for assigned shift, and completing annual evaluations.
• • Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members.

Certification & Licensure:

• Required - Sterile Processing Certification and 6 months hospital and 6 months instrument

Education:

• High School or Equivalent

Specific Skills

• Knowledge of decontamination processes, preparation, and packaging, sterilization techniques based on manufacturer recommendations, and storage of sterilized items as well as knowledge of AMMI standards.

Experience:

Preferred - Hospital Experience
