Description Sterile Processing Technician at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 8-hour Evening shifts (3pm - 11:30pm) with rotating weekends.

Under supervision, this position is responsible for decontaminating, operationally checking, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation and implants throughout the hospital. Operates steam autoclave, H2O2 hydrogen peroxide sterilizers, sonic equipment, automated washers, and heat sealers, store, date, rotate, and distribute reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation.

Required Qualifications

Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirement. Within 1 year of hire, National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Within 1 year of hire, National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution 1 year of experience or Graduate from a central service program.

The successful candidates placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range, and additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby-on-call overtime premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
