Join Our Team as a Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) Surgical Services
Are you a dedicated sterile processing professional ready to contribute to a busy Level One trauma hospital? We are seeking experienced Sterile Processing Technicians to join our dynamic team, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and surgical excellence. This position plays a vital role in supporting our surgical services team by meticulously handling decontamination, sterilization, and instrument assembly across various service lines. Required Skills:
- Proven experience in all areas of sterile processing, including decontamination, instrument assembly, sterilization (SteRrad and steam), and sterilized storage.
- Strong knowledge of HLD/Scope processing.
- Familiarity with OR liaison responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Censitrac Tracking System.
- Certification from CBSPD or CRCST (via HSPA/IAHCSMM) is acceptable.
- Ability to float to different locations as needed.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience with DaVinci robotics and surgical scopes.
- Knowledge of Censitrac or similar tracking systems.
- Additional certifications in sterile processing or surgical technology.
- Experience in high-volume trauma facilities akin to OSU.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of sterile processing experience in a busy hospital or trauma center setting.
- Prior experience working in a Level One trauma hospital is highly preferred.
- Relevant licenses and certifications in sterile processing.
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work night shift (11:00 PM 7:30 AM), Monday through Friday, with occasional scheduled holidays.
- Flexibility to float across multiple locations as needed.
- Certification in sterile processing (CBSPD or CRCST) is required.
- Must comply with all applicable state, federal, and local laws regarding paid sick time and licensure reimbursements.
