Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) - Surgical Services
Join our dynamic team as a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) in Surgical Services and play a vital role in ensuring patient safety through efficient sterilization and instrument management. What You Will Need:
- Current CRCST or CSPDT certification
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a Level I or II hospital setting
- Proficiency with sterilization equipment including Sterilizers, Sterrad Machines, Ultrasonic systems (CaviWave, Medisafe, Belimed)
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with decontamination and sterilization of complex surgical instruments
- Additional certifications in sterile processing or related areas
- Familiarity with hospital electronic health record systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working in surgical services or sterile processing departments
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to be assigned to emergency response teams, including staying on-site during emergent situations
- Ability to work a day shift (5x8-hour shifts, 06:00 - 14:30)
- Reliable work history with no previous cancellations
- Must adhere to all safety and compliance standards
- Available to start on 05/11/2026
