    Job Description

    Sterile Processing Technician – Part-Time

    3 Days Per Week | Monday–Friday | No Weekends, Holidays or On-Call

Berks Urologic Surgery Center (BUSC) is looking for an experienced, certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This is a critical behind-the-scenes role for someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, has exceptional attention to detail, and understands the important role Sterile Processing plays in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care.

Our Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, processing, assembly, and sterilization of instruments, supplies, and equipment used in our surgical procedures. Working closely with our clinical team, you will ensure that instruments are safe, functional, properly prepared, and available when needed—setting our providers and nurses up for success with every patient and every procedure.

At BUSC, we hold ourselves to high standards for quality, safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance. We are looking for someone who shares that commitment and is driven to consistently meet—and exceed—expectations for performance.

You may be a great fit if you:

Have a strong sense of ownership and commitment to your work

Bring exceptional attention to detail and organization

Understand and consistently follow infection prevention and sterilization standards

Are dependable, proactive, and comfortable working with a high level of responsibility

Enjoy being an essential part of patient care, even when your work happens behind the scenes

Value being part of a collaborative, high-performing surgical team

    Why BUSC?

BUSC is a privately and independently owned, physician-owned, single-specialty Urologic Ambulatory Surgery Center and part of the Center for Urologic Care of Berks County. Our physicians are not only the providers caring for our patients—they are also invested in the success of our practice, our Surgery Center, and the team that makes that care possible.

Together, we are committed to being the provider of choice for urologic care in our community, while maintaining the personal, team-oriented environment that comes with an independent practice.

This part-time opportunity offers a consistent three-day-per-week schedule with weekday hours—no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call requirements.

For an experienced Sterile Processing Technician looking to continue doing meaningful work while gaining greater predictability and balance in their schedule, BUSC offers a unique opportunity to make an important impact within a smaller, specialized surgical environment.

    Sterile Processing certification is required.

If you take pride in knowing that the work you do behind the scenes directly impacts the safety, quality, and experience of every patient we serve, we’d love to talk with you.
