Sterilization Logistics Technician

A day in this role

As evening settles in Saxonburg, PA, you arrive onsite and gear up for a 6 PM start. You check your forklift, review the queue of incoming medical device and pharmaceutical products, and coordinate with your teammates. Through the night, you move pallets with precision, load carriers into validated irradiation and gas sterilization systems, and place monitoring devices to verify the correct dose. You practice disciplined safety—donning safety glasses, safety shoes, and respiratory protection (SCBA) as trained and certified—while documenting each step to FDA, ISO, and GMP standards. By 6 AM, every load you’ve handled contributes to safer products used by patients, families, and caregivers worldwide.

Schedule & compensation

  • Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (onsite, Saxonburg, PA; nearest major market: Pittsburgh)
  • Hourly rate: $19.47, plus $2.00/hour shift differential
  • Eligible for bonus participation
  • Minimum pay will align with applicable county/city minimums when higher. Final pay considers factors such as market conditions, experience, education, certifications, and language skills.

What you’ll handle

  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move Customer product through the sterilization workflow
  • Load and unload product manually or via automation into validated sterilization equipment
  • Place and retrieve monitoring devices to confirm proper sterilization levels
  • Follow all health and safety procedures; complete training and annual certification to use PPE (including SCBA)
  • Deliver consistent safety, quality, and accuracy within FDA, ISO, and GMP guidelines

What you bring

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of warehouse experience in an FDA/ISO/GMP environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on work while standing or seated
  • Preferred: basic computer and math skills; prior forklift experience (license a plus)
  • Dependable, punctual, detail-focused, and a collaborative teammate
