Job Title: Instrument Technician (Intern) Job Location: Oral, Facial, & Implant surgery Center, Monterey, CA Job Type: Unpaid Program Internship Are you looking for a company that you can call home and have opportunities to grow? We are offering an internship for an Instrument Technician with our growing practice. We pride ourselves on guiding our staff in the right direction to not only learn but also get hands-on training to move forward within the company. Responsibilities: Perform administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, charting and filing. Prepare patient charts, record treatment plans, and update dental records. Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols. Assist the surgeon with operatory setup and cleanup. Provide patients with information on oral health care, treatment plans, and postoperative outcomes. Monitor stock of surgical supplies, medication, and replenish as needed. Ensure that instruments and equipment are effectively maintained. Provide excellent patient care. Required Qualifications: Highschool diploma or equivalent required. Willingness to learn Front or Back-Office Sound knowledge of how to use surgical equipment, instruments, and materials. Great organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to provide excellent patient care, even under stressful circumstances. Consistent professionalism in appearance and attitude. Schedule: Monday to Friday, days and times to be determined Special Requirements: Must be able to stand up to 80% of the time at minimum. Physical requirements include driving, flying, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time.
