A Steward or Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment by washing and storing all china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen equipment. This role supports the culinary and food and beverage teams by ensuring all items are cleaned and available for service in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dish stations, storage rooms, walk-ins, and trash areas.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Remove trash and recycling and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen supplies as needed.
• Support banquet and restaurant operations by maintaining adequate inventory of clean service ware.
• Clean kitchen equipment, floors, walls, and workstations as assigned.
• Report maintenance or sanitation concerns to management promptly.
• Work collaboratively with culinary and food and beverage teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Previous stewarding, dishwashing, or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
