Position Overview
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving and Engagement, the Assistant Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations will provide leadership, vision, and strategic planning for donor stewardship initiatives by implementing a comprehensive donor recognition program to strengthen current and future donor relationships with the university. The ADSDR is responsible for all central stewardship events, processes, and programs and collaborates with Advancement and Public Relations team and campus partners in a collective effort to ensure consistent, impactful stewardship and meaningful donor recognition, at all giving levels.
The ADSDR will manage the activities for the timely acknowledgment of gifts at all levels and will move donors along a journey that supports renewed commitments to the University through special recognition initiatives.
This position requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and organization; accuracy and attention to detail; use of good judgment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; an ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects; and a high degree of computer proficiency. The ADSDR will work independently under general direction, execute activities on the stewardship matrix, and document stewardship activities including reporting data analytics in the Advance CRM. The ADSDR will have contact with high-level constituents requiring adherence to decorum, the ability to switch between formal, informal, casual, and business vocabulary, tact, discretion, and judgment.

Minimum Job Requirements:
A bachelor's degree is required. An emphasis in sales, marketing, persuasive writing, or fundraising preferred. Experience developing marketing materials and reports in a dynamic and collaborative environment is preferred. A minimum of three years of related experience in the above-mentioned fields is required. Direct experience in higher education advancement is preferred.
