The Ohio Veterans Homes, part of Ohio Department of Veterans Services, are trauma informed care long-term care focused on providing excellent care to Ohio's veterans. The Veteran Homes provide direct nursing home care at facilities in Sandusky and Georgetown as well as domiciliary living to qualified veterans in Sandusky. What does a Therapeutic Program Worker do at the Veterans Homes?
A Therapeutic Program Worker (TPW) is a direct care worker that helps residents with daily living skills and assists them with needs. Support given to the individual will vary based on each person's needs and capabilities.
