SAIC is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Stock Clerk to support our receiving operations in Bedford, IN.

  • The ideal candidate will work closely with our logistics and warehouse teams to ensure the timely receipt, inspection, and organization of materials and supplies critical to our operations. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow standardized processes to maintain inventory accuracy

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

  • Receive, inspect, and validate inbound shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with SAIC policies and federal contract requirements
  • Log received items into inventory management systems and update records in accordance with supply chain management procedures
  • Tag and label equipment and materials in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with purchasing, warehousing, and project teams to ensure timely distribution of materials to internal departments or end users

  • Perform routine tasks, including packaging, moving, and shelving of inventory, while adhering to safety protocols and organizational standards
  • Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels and reconciliation of discrepancies
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other materials handling equipment to move inventory as needed (if properly trained and certified)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment within the receiving and storage areas

Follow established quality assurance and control measures, including compliance with government regulations and SAIC''s operational procedures

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations, with a focus on receiving activities
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking systems or software
  • Ability to lift and move equipment or packages weighing 50 lbs
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for accurate record-keeping and inventory management
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; no clearance required to start. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
