Stock Clerk
Job Location: Stockton, California
Pay Rate: $18-$19.12/hour
Job Type: Temporary
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
Description of Position:
For the upcoming 2026 election, we are partnering with the County to support them with additional staff. We are looking for a few Stock Clerks to assist in the preparation and conduction of the election. This position will involve primarily manual duties.
Typical Duties:
- Load carts with client case files and deliver them to various locations.
- Assist clerical employees in sorting client case files into boxes, load boxes on carts, and deliver to a central point.
- Pick up and deliver a variety of materials, including heavy boxes, to and from the Courthouse.
- Deliver materials to various departmental locations.
- Assist stock clerks in moving and unloading heavy file cabinets, desks, and other office furniture and equipment.
- Perform miscellaneous unskilled or semi-skilled labor tasks in assembling, repairing, or adjusting departmental equipment, tools, or supplies.

You will be supporting a city government in San Joaquin County, California, contributing to the crucial electoral process for the 2026 election. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation and integrity of the election, working alongside a dedicated team within the city's administrative framework. Your efforts will directly impact the democratic process, helping to manage and facilitate voter services, candidate filings, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Experience Required:
- May be required to drive a county vehicle on the job.
- Knowledge of safe methods for lifting heavy objects.
- Possession of a valid California driver's license.
- Previous labor or warehouse-related experience.
Schedule will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. As we approach the election, you may be required to work some Saturdays and overtime as needed.
