The Stocker is responsible for providing courteous customer service, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean aisle environment.
Essential duties include handling merchandise from pallets, opening boxes, rotating products to prevent expiry, organizing shelves, and inspecting for safety and HACCP compliance. The role involves verifying accurate pricing, ensuring safety hazards are promptly addressed, and reporting low stock levels.
Additional responsibilities may include supporting other departments and performing other work-related tasks.
Qualifications include good communication skills, basic reading and math abilities, and a strong customer service commitment. Physical requirements involve lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking constantly, and working in varying temperatures, including refrigerated areas. Equipment operation such as forklifts and pallet jacks may be involved.
