Location: Client Park, IL
Hours: 7am to 3:30 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with vendors daily to place orders, expedite critical purchases, and follow up on open stock orders.
  • Review and investigate receiving questions and discrepancies related to stock items.
  • Issue stock items to maintenance personnel.
  • Receive and store inventory in designated locations.
  • Perform daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to establish new inventory items.
  • Process repair items and maintain a separate warehouse for repairable inventory.
  • Obtain Return Authorization (RA) numbers from vendors, prepare required documentation, and package repair items for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready stockroom.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Supervisor to support departmental objectives.
  • Receive, record, and store incoming materials.
  • Provide financial reports for plant personnel, assist Accounts Payable with invoice discrepancies, and supply repair parts for preventive maintenance, shutdowns, and other maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper inventory control.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy to prevent production downtime due to unavailable repair parts.
  • Comply with all applicable FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA, and company regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong computer proficiency required.
  • Experience using Maximo or similar computerized inventory management systems is preferred.
  • Ability to perform data entry and efficiently navigate desktop and network applications.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks while handling frequent interruptions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to investigate order discrepancies and expedite urgent purchase requests.
  • Ability to locate inventory items quickly with limited information.
  • Experience researching and resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Ability to analyze inventory data and make timely inventory decisions.
