Scope and Purpose of Position

The purpose of this position is to order lenses and frames from manufacturer to fulfill work orders and maintain inventory.

Essential Functions

• Receives work orders from mapping for lenses that are not in stock
• Places short-orders and bulk orders of lenses and frames with manufacturer/DC
• Sends frame patterns/tags to providers as needed
• Conducts daily lens and frame cycle counts
• Generates lens and frame inventory reports
• Fills picking shelves with frames and lenses
• Returns defective lenses and frames to manufacturers and confirms credit is issued
• May coach and mentor other associates as needed
• Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of all equipment and workstation
• Practice and comply with all requirements of our Quality Management System (QMS), prescribed safety and hazardous materials handling procedures, and Federal/State laws regulating hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read work order/ticket
• Minimum 1 year of related manufacturing experience preferred
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
• Knowledge of lenses preferred
• Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions
