Summary

Responsible for the preparation of materials and equipment for instructional labs, provide support to the department researchers and assist in the day-to-day stockroom operations.

Essential Functions

  • Gather materials and equipment for the instructional labs
  • Maintaining, inventorying and organizing chemistry stockroom and instructional labs
  • Shipping and receiving of order requests
  • Occasional physical demands
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

  • Preference given to freshman/sophomore with approval from lab instructor whose courses prepping for
  • Must be a chemistry or biochemistry major with As or Bs in all chemistry classes taken
  • Must have taken or currently enrolled in Chem 1280 or Chem 1380
  • Organized, detail-oriented and excellent people skills
  • Must understand and be willing to follow all university and federal safety policies and procedures
  • Must be comfortable to work in an environment with hazardous materials and chemicals
