Summary

Purpose of Role:

Maintain a stocked, safe, organized warehouse by performing stockroom inventory management and receiving and distributing materials.

The regular work schedule for this position is 3rd shift, working from 9:00 PM-7:30 AM, Saturday through Wednesday (4/10 hour shifts).

The Training Schedule for this position is during 1st shift, working from 5:00 AM-3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday.

The full hourly range for the position is $21.23- $31.84 per hour with an anticipated starting salary between entry ($21.23) and midpoint ($26.53) of the range. It's essential to note that the actual salary offered will be determined based on several factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, education, certifications, training and internal equity considerations.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED and no experience required;

  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid Arizona Drivers License and a safe driving record

Must obtain a forklift operators card within three (3) months of hire

Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills

  • Properly store, label and organize materials.
  • Monitor and complete inventory counts; and update part information in inventory system.
  • receive deliveries and verify quantity and materials received match order details.
  • Validate and assist with requests, distribute materials and communicate out of stock items.
  • Maintain inventory and report descrepancies to supervisor.
  • Perform general clean-up activities to promote a safe work environment.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

Knowledge of:

  • Familiarity with material receiving, organizing, storing and labeling procedures.
  • Awareness of inventory monitoring and system update processes.
  • Essential understanding of inventory distribution and stock validation methodologies.
  • Introductory application of inventory record maintenance and reporting processes.
  • Basic understanding of safety and cleanliness standards in stockroom operations.
  • Fundamental awareness of stock and material status communication practices.
  • Using a computer and related software.

Skill in:

  • Receiving, storing, and organizing stockroom materials.
  • Monitoring and updating inventory counts.
  • Distributing materials and validating stock requests.
  • Reporting inventory status.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in work areas.
  • Coordinating stock shortages and material needs.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to exchange information and receive work direction.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Work is performed in a shop setting with routine use of standard shop equipment. This role requires medium physical exertion; exerting 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly.

This role typically requires sitting, handling, fine dexterity, visual acuity, hearing, speaking, walking, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, kneeling, bending, climbing, reaching, twisting, crouching, balancing, crawling, noisy/distracting environment, time pressure, tedious or exacting work, changing of tasks, multi-tasking, emergency situation, irregular work schedule/overtime, noisy/distracting environment and working with others on a team.

This role also experiences daily exposure to mechanical hazards, respiratory hazards, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, noise and vibration and physical hazards; monthly exposure to chemical hazards; and seasonal exposure to communicable diseases.
