Position Summary:
The Probe Storage and Spare Parts Associate (Technician) is responsible for the safe handling, transportation, storage, tracking, and disposal of probe equipment spare parts and materials. This role supports Equipment Engineering by maintaining an organized inventory system, ensuring proper storage practices, and supporting safe and efficient operations within the storage and attic areas. The technician works under the direction of the Lead Equipment Engineer and follows all policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Position Summary:
The Probe Storage and Spare Parts Associate (Technician) is responsible for the safe handling, transportation, storage, tracking, and disposal of probe equipment spare parts and materials. This role supports Equipment Engineering by maintaining an organized inventory system, ensuring proper storage practices, and supporting safe and efficient operations within the storage and attic areas. The technician works under the direction of the Lead Equipment Engineer and follows all policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
Inventory and Material Handling
- Transport delivered parts and materials from the receiving dock to designated attic and storage locations.
- Receive, sort, identify, label, and store parts in assigned shelves, racks, and bin locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory organization to ensure parts can be quickly located and retrieved.
- Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation activities.
Spare Parts Management:
- Monitor storage locations and maintain proper housekeeping standards.
- Dispose of End-of-Life (EOL) parts, obsolete components, and unwanted materials in accordance with company procedures and environmental requirements.
- Ensure proper segregation, identification, and handling of all materials.
Equipment Operation:
- Safely operate material-handling equipment, including:
- Pallet jacks
- Dollies
- Electrical lifts
- Other approved material transport equipment
- Perform pre-use inspections and report equipment concerns immediately.
Communication and Coordination:
- Communicate inventory movements, deliveries, shortages, damaged materials, and completed activities to Equipment Engineers.
- Coordinate with Engineering and other stakeholders to ensure proper handling and storage of critical spare parts.
- Escalate inventory discrepancies, safety concerns, and process issues promptly.
Facility Maintenance and Safety:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements.
- Use proper lifting techniques and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Identify, report, and help resolve safety hazards.
- Participate in safety training, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports directly to the Lead Equipment Engineer responsible for storage room and attic operations.
- Works closely with Equipment Engineers, Facilities personnel, and other operational stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency, including:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Outlook
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory counting and tracking.
- Ability to accurately follow written procedures and work instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Experience with inventory management, warehouse operations, or spare parts storage.
- Experience using inventory systems, scanners, or digital tracking equipment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, semiconductor, or technical environments.
- Experience operating material-handling equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, squat, climb ladders, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to work in attic, storage, and warehouse-type environments.
- Ability to safely handle materials while following established ergonomic practices.
Safety Expectations:
Safety is a core responsibility of this position. The Probe Storage and Spare Parts Associate must:
- Comply with all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) policies and procedures.
- Stop work and immediately report unsafe conditions, injuries, spills, equipment issues, or other safety concerns.
- Follow all required training, PPE requirements, and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 5S and housekeeping expectations.
- Perform all job duties safely while protecting themselves, coworkers, equipment, and company assets.
