Office-Based in Jefferson City, TN

Regular Full-Time Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm (occasional Saturdays may be required; closed on Sundays)

As a District Manager, you'll play a vital role in our diverse team, contributing to our exceptional company culture. We're seeking passionate leaders to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Jefferson City and surrounding area facilities.

Job Description:

Storage District Manager/ Self-Storage and Property Operations Role:

  • Lead an engaged district team.
  • Motivate and retain a dedicated team of customer-facing Property Managers.
  • Drive your team with effective communication and provide coaching on customer service and sales strategies.
  • Actively seek customer feedback and address any service-related issues promptly.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other leaders to meet objectives and effectively implement business strategies. Serve as a knowledgeable resource on operational and customer-centric matters.
  • Develop and execute district-level strategies tailored to capitalize on each store's unique strengths and opportunities to foster a portfolio of thriving stores.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Manage physical assets, including repair and maintenance systems, vendor management, and cleaning standards.
  • Oversee delinquent tenant processes, reducing delinquency rates, and improving customer retention through coaching.
  • Oversee auctions within the district.
  • Conduct property audits to ensure operational standards and safety compliance.
  • Deliver Outstanding Customer Service:
  • Provide a welcoming and well-maintained environment to customers through effective facility maintenance and vendor management.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Grow and Maintain a Robust Business:
  • Drive the business forward using analytics to identify trends and develop strategies to capitalize on opportunities in your district.
  • Exceed sales targets through unit rentals, insurance, and moving supplies.
  • Manage cash handling, including balancing receipts, pursuing collections, and overseeing bank deposits.
  • Collaborate with team members across various locations for collective success.
  • Run errands and travel to different store locations as needed.
  • Manage processes efficiently to ensure work assignments are completed.
  • Travel within the district is required.

Storage District Manager/ Self-Storage and Property Operations Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience (1+ years) in overseeing multi-unit operations in sectors such as retail, leasing, rental, or other customer service-oriented fields, managing 8 or more stores.
  • A person of integrity, possessing outstanding leadership, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams of non-exempt employees in a retail, service, hospitality, or related industry.
  • Proven track record of top-tier performance.
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills.
  • Passion for sales and customer service excellence.
  • Weekend availability by telephone.
  • 1 work Saturday per month is required during peak season.
  • Proficient in computer systems with a minimum typing speed of 35+ WPM.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Comfortable working seated at a desk or standing for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with the local community and services.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to provide three professional references.
