The Store Experience Merchandising Kit Planning Senior Specialist is responsible for the planning and execution of all merchandising kits, as applicable, within the store experience. The Senior Specialist leads cross functional project teams in support of creating and delivering category and department level merchandising kits. The cross-functional team is represented by all areas of the enterprise, and the Senior Specialist is responsible for integrating with internal and external vendor partners to ensure the complete delivery of an excellent customer experience across all channels. The Senior Specialist is accountable for on time, on budget, quality delivery of project that meets sponsor's scope requirements. Must be able to create partnerships and lead without authority at all levels.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you'll do
  • Lead end-to-end merchandising kit planning, coordination, and delivery, including project planning, key milestones, deliverables, sustainment plans, project evaluation, and closeout activities.
  • Influence without authority by building strong relationships with cross-functional teams, external vendors, leadership, and retail partners while holding all stakeholders accountable for timelines, deliverables, and customer needs.
  • Serve as the governance lead across teams, ensuring alignment, removing roadblocks, managing conflict, and driving successful outcomes for store employees and customers.
  • Partner with retail teams to identify deployment, sustainment, and customer experience wins and opportunities, incorporating learnings into future initiatives.
  • Challenge existing assumptions and sponsor paradigms when necessary while effectively managing expectations and balancing business, employee, and customer priorities.
  • Continuously improve processes, tools, and delivery methods using project experience and organizational best practices.
