JOB SUMMARY The Store Manager is responsible for playing a critical role in providing support to merchandising operational and human resources functions for an individual store to achieve or exceed planned sales and profits. This position requires a proactive and vigilant individual who will remain highly engaged with customers demonstrate integrity effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic retail setting. The Store Manager will play a critical role in building a positive work culture driving employee involvement and supporting change management efforts within the retail organization. DUTIESRESPONSIBILITIES · Responsible for recruiting interviewing hiring counseling and termination practices including legal compliance and internal processes. · Maintains financial controls including shrink payroll and other operating expenses. · Maintaining proper inventory controls facilitate inventory transactions and maintain compliance standards for shrink control · Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service. · Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales inventory-taking reconciling cash receipts or in performing services for customers. · Ensuring adherence of staff members to all Citi Trends Inc. policies and procedures. · Performs other duties as may be assigned. REQUIRED SKILLSABILITIES · Excellent communication and organizational skills. · Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. · Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition subtraction multiplication division and percentages. EDUCATIONEXPERIENCE · High school diploma or equivalent. · 3-5 years of retail experience as a Store Manager. · 5-7 years of retail experience.
