Store Manager

Cayucos Surf Company, Inc is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations and deliver an exceptional customer experience in Cayucos, CA.

Position Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store performance, including sales, merchandising, staffing, and day-to-day operations. This role ensures the store runs smoothly, customers receive outstanding service, and team members have clear direction to meet business goals.

You will be a hands-on leader who creates a positive store environment, maintains strong operational standards, and drives continuous improvement to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day store operations, ensuring sales floor readiness, customer service standards, and efficient workflows

• Lead, coach, and schedule team members to support performance, productivity, and coverage across shifts

• Oversee merchandising and inventory practices, including receiving, stocking, visual presentation, and stock accuracy

• Monitor key performance indicators (such as sales, conversion, and shrink) and take action to improve results

• Handle customer escalations professionally, protecting the customer experience and the company’s reputation

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work onsite in Cayucos, CA on a full-time basis

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a retail environment, with the ability to coach and hold teams to standards

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in areas like merchandising, inventory, and operational execution

• Reliable decision-making and professional communication with customers and team members

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform essential store duties for extended periods, including light lifting as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing retail operations, including scheduling, inventory control, and sales performance

• Familiarity with loss prevention practices and maintaining inventory accuracy

• Proven track record of driving customer satisfaction and improving store results

• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight timelines

Compensation

Hourly rate: $21.00 - $25.00
