Store Manager

The Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations, financial performance, team leadership, and elevated guest experience of a LaMar's Donuts and Coffee location. This is a working manager role that actively participates in guest service, beverage and food production, and team support during peak periods. Because the Store Manager regularly performs the same duties as tipped employees, this role is eligible to earn tips while on the clock when engaged in direct customer service.

Compensation:

  • Base Hourly Rate: $19.75 to $29.00 per hour
  • Bilingual Pay Differential: +$1.00 per hour for employees who speak English AND at least one additional language (besides Spanish), approved by management as actively using bilingual skills in the workplace. +$2.00 per hour for employees who speak English AND Spanish, approved by management as actively using bilingual skills in the workplace.
  • Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate for all hours worked over 40/week, including bilingual differential in regular rate calculation.
  • Tips: Eligible to earn and accumulate tips while on the clock when performing direct service work. Tips may include cash tips, credit card/digital tips, and tip pool distributions (if applicable). No tip credit taken; LaMar's pays full hourly wage per Missouri minimum wage laws.

Break and Meal Periods:

  • 10 minute paid rest break for every 4 hours worked
  • 30 minute unpaid meal period for shifts over 5 hours

Core Responsibilities:

  • Operations Leadership: Manage all daily store operations, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, brand SOPs, and maintain luxury level store presentation.
  • Revenue and Profitability: Drive store toward $2M $4M+ annual revenue targets, manage labor %, food cost %, and sales performance, execute upselling and premium product strategies.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Hire, train, and develop staff, maintain compliance with Missouri labor laws, Equal Pay Act, and anti-discrimination policies, lead by example as a working manager.
  • Scheduling and Labor Management: Build efficient schedules aligned with sales, ensure legal compliance for breaks, overtime, and wage laws.
  • Guest Experience (Fast Luxe Standard): Deliver elevated hospitality experience, resolve issues immediately, maintain speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Production and Quality Control: Oversee donut production, beverage program, food consistency, maintain premium quality standards.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Execution: Manage ordering and inventory, reduce waste and shrinkage, ensure vendor compliance.
  • Administrative Duties: Timekeeping and payroll approvals, hiring and onboarding, performance management.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of restaurant, café, or retail management experience
  • Experience managing hourly teams
  • Strong operational and financial understanding
  • Ability to work in high volume environments
  • Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coffee/specialty beverage experience
  • Bakery or donut production experience
  • Drive thru operations experience
  • Franchise system experience

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for extended periods (12-14+ hours)

Schedule Expectations:

  • Full time (35-45+ hours/week)
  • Must be available: early mornings, weekends (Saturday and Sunday), holidays
