Reporting to the Director, Store Operations of the respective region or his delegate, the Store Manager is responsible for planning, directing, managing and evaluating the overall store operations to support the company's short and long-term goals; controls store standards and leads the team to achieve the store's KPIs. The position is also responsible for building and managing the team, creating positive customer experience, staff engagement and delivers other duties as assigned by the superior(s) by cooperating with all relevant internal & external stakeholdersEstablished in 1993, T&T Supermarket is Canada's favorite and largest Asian specialty supermarket chain. Our founders, Cindy and Jack Lee, created a shopping experience born out of a passion for providing easy access to Asian groceries. Lead overall store operations with a focus on achieving business objectives, operational excellence, and long-term growth

Drive financial performance through strategic planning, sales optimization, cost control, and margin improvement

Develop and implement merchandise and inventory strategies aligned with market trends and customer demand

Champion company standards in food safety, cleanliness, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency

Oversee risk management and loss prevention initiatives to safeguard assets and ensure a secure environment

Cultivate a customer-centric culture by embedding service excellence into daily operations and team behavior

Provide strategic leadership in workforce planning, talent development, and performance management

Identify and develop high-potential team members to support succession planning and organizational capability

Execute marketing and brand initiatives in-store to strengthen market presence and enhance customer engagement

Act as a key liaison with corporate functions, landlords, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment and accountability

Fulfill any additional responsibilities as assigned by superiors, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the department.

You Should Have/Be:

Post-secondary education or higher, preferably in Business, Retail Management, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in retail store management, with proven ability to lead teams of 10 or more staff

Demonstrated leadership and sound business acumen; logical thinker with a growth mindset and openness to innovation

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is considered an asset

Effective communicator with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization and with external partners

Composed and solutions-focused under pressure, with the ability to manage emergencies or unexpected situations professionally

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Willing to travel occasionally within and outside the province (less than 10%)
