We aren't looking for someone to manage a coffee shop. We're looking for someone to help build one.

Scooter's Coffee is opening its first Bastrop location and we're searching for a high-energy leader who loves developing people, creating exceptional customer experiences, and building a winning team from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a brand-new store opening, hire and develop your own team, and help shape the culture of a growing multi-unit operation. As Store Manager, you'll play a critical role in building the team, setting expectations, driving performance, and creating an environment where both employees and customers love coming back.

We believe leadership is service. Our Store Managers lead from the front—making drinks, coaching teammates, connecting with customers, and setting the pace for the entire store. We are developing additional locations in Central Texas. Strong performance in this role can create opportunities for advancement into multi-unit leadership as the organization grows.

Compensation & Benefits

Responsibilities

Store Operations

  • Manage day-to-day operations of a high-volume drive-thru coffee kiosk
  • Ensure fast service times, product quality, and operational consistency
  • Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and brand standards
  • Manage inventory levels and place weekly orders
  • Ensure compliance with Company and franchise standards

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of approximately 20 baristas and shift leads
  • Create a positive, accountable, and energetic team culture
  • Schedule staff and manage labor costs effectively
  • Coach, develop, and retain employees
  • Lead by example through professionalism, urgency, and teamwork

Sales & Performance

  • Drive sales growth and profitability
  • Monitor key performance indicators, labor costs, and operational metrics
  • Execute local store marketing and community outreach initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance and guest satisfaction

Customer Experience

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and genuine customer connections
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly, professionally, and with a positive attitude
  • Create a welcoming environment for both customers and team members

Schedule Requirements

  • Store hours are 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM, weekdays; 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, weekends
  • Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays is required
  • Must be available for two weeks of paid training in Dallas prior to opening
  • Schedule flexibility is required to support business needs

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a restaurant, drive-thru, retail, or customer-service environment
  • Experience hiring, coaching, and developing employees
  • Experience managing schedules, staffing, and labor costs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Store Manager or General Manager experience
  • Experience managing P&L performance
  • Experience opening a new location
  • Drive-thru, or quick-service restaurant experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a compact, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
