This role directs activities to achieve store goals including customer experience, talent management, financial objectives, operational controls, asset protection, safety, and merchandise presentation.
Functional responsibilities include understanding and modeling associate commitment to brand culture, recruiting and developing talent, partnering with design and merchandising leaders, leading merchandising activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting in-store events, analyzing reporting to create strategies, leading visual merchandising updates, articulating brand positioning, managing controllable expenses, understanding market trends, leading the team, and ensuring compliance within operational guidelines.
Competencies include living the Chico's FAS values, making good and timely decisions, taking on new opportunities with urgency, relating openly with diverse groups, and adapting approach in real time to match shifting demands.
Qualifications include a high school diploma, some college or bachelor's degree preferred, 18 years old or older, 5+ years of supervisory/management experience in the retail industry preferred with 2 of those years in a store manager position, proven ability to recruit, select, develop, and retain full store team, proven ability to foster team commitment and create a positive, inclusive working environment, demonstrated ability to function as a role model, demonstrated ability to organize, delegate, prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow-up on all store activities, knowledge of visual standards and techniques, ability to forecast and analyze business trends, ability to take initiative, ability to work a flexible schedule, and requires physical activity which may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
