About the Role:
The Store Manager is responsible for the overall performance and daily operations of the store. This role leads and develops a high-performing team, drives sales and profitability, delivers exceptional customer service, and ensures operational excellence. The Store Manager provides coaching, training, and accountability while fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and results. This position reports directly to the District Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team focused on delivering exceptional customer service and business results.
- Drive store sales, profitability, and operational performance while maintaining accountability for key business metrics.
- Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop team members to build a strong talent pipeline and support succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability by setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and managing performance effectively.
- Ensure consistent execution of operational standards, merchandising requirements, and store presentation guidelines.
- Oversee inventory management processes and controls to minimize shrinkage and maintain product availability.
- Manage store labor and expenses, including scheduling, timecard approvals, and cost control initiatives.
- Partner with Human Resources on hiring, employee relations, coaching, corrective action, and talent development activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain a safe, secure, and productive work environment.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiency, team effectiveness, and the overall customer experience.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- High School Degree or equivalent; college degree in business administration preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a managerial role. Automotive after-market service industry preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
- Strong supervisory, organizational, and communication skills.
- Relate well with and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently and with a team.
- Experience working cross functionally and gaining consensus to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- Occasionally required to drive on behalf of the company; must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 60 pounds.
