Job Duties Position maintains an effective and efficient institutional warehouse operation ensuring an adequate inventory level of approved items in compliance with DOC and institutional policy and procedure. Responsible for daily receipt and delivery of warehouse/commissary items. Maintains perpetual inventory system. Assists with physical inventory of warehouse items. Maintains safety and security and sanitation of warehouse operation. Position serves as the surplus and excess property coordinator for the facility. Ensures proper inspection and accurate documentation is recorded and maintained on items received, stocked, and distributed. Ensures all staff and supervisees/workers are properly trained, supervised, and monitored.

This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1500 hours per agency during the 12-month period of May 1 - April 30 regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.

Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs and Outlook. Demonstrated skill in inventory control, storage, receiving and issuing goods. Demonstrated skill in records management and preparing workplace reports. Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend workplace policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.

Additional Considerations Extensive warehouse operation experience. Supervisory experience. Forklift Operator experience/certification desired. Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Previous experience in handling of hazardous materials.
