Job Description
Position Purpose
Owns spare parts, consumables and site purchasing, taking custody of the inventory the site materials coordinator built.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, label, store and issue spare parts and consumables with full transaction accountability.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and reconcile discrepancies.
- Manage reorder points, minimum and maximum levels, and place purchase requisitions.
- Manage vendor relationships for consumables, chemicals, laboratory supplies and personal protective equipment.
- Control the preservation program for stored rotating equipment and spares.
- Support the planner with parts staging and kitting for scheduled work.
- Maintain safe and compliant storage of chemicals and hazardous materials.
Required Qualifications
- Three or more years of industrial storeroom or procurement experience.
- Inventory system competence and demonstrated accuracy.
- Forklift certification or willingness to certify.
- Familiarity with hazardous material storage requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- CMMS storeroom module experience.
- Purchasing or expediting background.
