Shift: 7AM to 3:30PM, weekends and holidays as needed
Purchase, receive, and store all food and supply orders in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Store received product in assigned location in an organized manner, to include proper stock rotation and the dating of each product.
- Inspect and store all deliveries according to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP and department procedures.
- Communicate any food safety or product quality concerns immediately to supervisor.
- Use and maintains equipment according to manufacturer and department guidelines; follow all safety procedures.
- Consistently adhere to Safety Data Sheet (SDS information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace.
- Maintain a professional working relationship and demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times with vendors, delivery drivers, and coworkers.
Receiving Shipments and Inventory Management:
- Receive shipments from vendors; document receipt of each item as identified by the order guide.
- Identify discrepancies and communicate to supervisor.
- Receive shipments from trucking companies, UPS, and special delivery distributors according to established procedures.
- Monitor and record temperatures according to operation guidelines.
- Complete accurate and timely inventories; develop and place orders according to operation schedules and procedures.
Facility Maintenance and Sanitation:
- Maintain inspection-readiness of all storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Collect and remove trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures.
- Adhere to recycling guidelines.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED OR 1 YR previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Act 34
