Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
Ability to follow oral and written instructions (basic to intermediate level)
Strong attention to detail and basic math/counting skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn internal systems quickly
Experience working with SAP, ERP systems, or stockroom inventory management systems preferred
Ability to work safely in an industrial/manufacturing environment
Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a storeroom, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
Experience supporting maintenance operations or inventory planning
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days

Forklift certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days

Work Schedule
Regular schedule: Monday through Friday
Shift options:
5:00 a.m. 1:30 p.m., or
6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m.
Overtime and weekend work may be required or available based on business needs

Responsibilities:
Position Summary
The Storeroom Clerk plays a key role in supporting plant operations by ensuring effective inventory management and timely availability of maintenance parts and materials. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and issuing inventory while maintaining accurate records in company systems.
The role partners closely with the Senior Storeroom Attendant, maintenance planners, and production teams to drive efficiency, support reliability, and contribute to a safe and well organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control
Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counting and physical inventory processes in alignment with company standards
Organize and store parts and materials to support efficient retrieval and proper stock rotation
Issue parts and supplies to maintenance personnel and ensure accurate transaction recording
Identify and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, and obsolete materials
Receiving & Material Handling
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips
Accurately document discrepancies such as shortages, damages, or backorders
Unload and store materials in designated locations following established procedures
Complete daily receiving transactions in SAP or other ERP systems
Systems & Administrative Support
Maintain inventory accuracy within SAP or company ERP systems
Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Teams, Excel, Outlook) for communication, tracking, and reporting
Assist with resolving discrepancies impacting vendor payments and purchase orders
Maintain organized documentation and audit-ready records
Maintenance & Operations Support
Collaborate with maintenance teams, planners, and supervisors to ensure timely availability of parts
Support maintenance planning activities by tracking inventory and critical spare parts
Contribute to minimizing downtime through effective inventory coordination
Safety, Quality & Compliance
Follow all Saint-Gobain safety policies, procedures, and safe work instructions
Consistently wear required PPE and promote a safety-first culture
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant storeroom environment (5S standards preferred)
Operate material handling equipment safely and in accordance with training
