About the role
Recess Hotel & Club is seeking a Storeroom Clerk to support the efficient operation of the property through the receipt, organization, storage, and distribution of inventory and supplies. This role is responsible for ensuring that departments throughout the hotel have the products and materials they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
The Storeroom Clerk plays an important behind-the-scenes role in maintaining organization, accuracy, and accountability throughout the property's inventory processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient storeroom operation.
What you'll do
- Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
- Organize, label, and store products and supplies in designated storage areas
- Distribute inventory and supplies to hotel departments as requested
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts and audits
- Monitor stock levels and communicate inventory needs to leadership
- Ensure all storeroom areas remain clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with receiving invoices, packing slips, and delivery documentation
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments promptly
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Support operational departments with timely fulfillment of supply requests
- Assist with special projects and operational needs as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous receiving, warehouse, storeroom, purchasing, or inventory experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to accurately count, track, and document inventory
- Comfortable using inventory systems, spreadsheets, and basic computer programs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull supplies and equipment as required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as business needs require
