About the Role
We're hiring a Storeroom Warehouse Associate for a 90-day temporary assignment supporting warehouse and inventory operations within a steel manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on warehouse role responsible for receiving, stocking, organizing, moving, and dispatching materials while supporting inventory accuracy and daily warehouse operations. The assignment offers strong potential for temp-to-hire conversion for candidates who demonstrate reliability, safety awareness, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in industrial environments, and able to support both physical warehouse work and inventory-related tasks.

- Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

What You'll Do
Warehouse & Inventory Operations
- Receive, unload, and put away incoming materials and inventory
- Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or invoice discrepancies
- Sort, label, organize, and store products using established warehouse procedures
- Maintain accurate inventory records within computerized systems
- Support cycle counting and inventory maintenance activities
Order Fulfillment & Shipping
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments
- Load trucks for customer deliveries using proper securing and padding methods
- Verify order accuracy before shipment
- Process warehouse documentation and pick sheets
Equipment Operation
- Operate warehouse equipment including:
- Forklifts
- Cherry-picking lifts
- Pallet jacks
- Support safe material handling throughout warehouse operations
- Follow equipment safety procedures and operational standards
Safety & Facility Support
- Follow all warehouse and manufacturing safety procedures
- Maintain organized and clean work areas
- Use required PPE and safety equipment properly
- Support general warehouse and storeroom operations as needed
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse, storeroom, or inventory experience
- Experience with:
- Loading and unloading
- Picking and packing
- Material handling
- Inventory support
- Industrial or manufacturing warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift or cherry picker experience preferred
Technical Skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Microsoft Office familiarity preferred
- Ability to read work orders and safety documentation
- Basic math and counting skills
