Job Details

Responsibilities:

As our Stormwater Civil Engineer PE, you will be responsible for:

1. Developing and implementing comprehensive stormwater management plans.
2. Utilizing software such as TR-55, Ponds, ICPR 4, Stormwise, HEC-RAs, and GIS to analyze and design stormwater systems.
3. Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic studies to assess flood risk and design appropriate mitigation measures.
4. Navigating the FEMA floodplain mapping process and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
5. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions to complex stormwater challenges.
6. Reviewing and approving stormwater designs and plans, ensuring they meet FDEP 10-2 and FDOT standards.
7. Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
8. Monitoring project progress and ensuring timely completion within budget.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Stormwater Civil Engineer PE role should have:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
2. A Professional Engineer (PE) license.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in stormwater management, particularly within the construction industry.
4. Proficiency in stormwater management software such as TR-55, Ponds, ICPR 4, Stormwise, HEC-RAs, and GIS.
5. Solid understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles.
6. Familiarity with FEMA floodplain mapping and regulations.
7. Experience in ensuring compliance with FDEP 10-2 and FDOT standards.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
