Length of Time: Eligible for rehire on a semester basis.

Department Description: The Stout School of Education offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in education.

Job Description: The Student Worker will provide general support to the Stout School of Education. This position is designed to assist with day-to-day operations, administrative tasks, and special projects while offering students the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience in a supportive environment.

Job Location/ Hours Required:

The candidate will perform all job duties in the Stout School of Education. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to 10-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist visitors, students, and faculty in person, by phone, or via email.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry.
• Deliver documents and materials across campus as needed.
• Assist with Social Media Posts and the School of Education Slide Show.
• Support faculty and staff with special projects or research-related tasks.
• Keep common areas organized and stocked (supplies, forms, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Current enrollment as a student at High Point University.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Must be comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism are essential.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Canva.
