PURPOSEThe Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will build relationships with key customers in the Baltimore, MD metro area, understanding and recommending Bayer Radiology and Service offerings, identifying opportunities to expand business, and creating a comprehensive Strategic Account Business Plan. The SAM will navigate systems, penetrate top‑influencing stakeholders and c‑suite decision makers, and lead change to create value and customer success.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and execute a Strategic Business Plan in conjunction with the Regional Business Plan, targeting top‑influencing stakeholders and the c‑suite.Establish long‑term business partnerships with top‑tier accounts within the region.Manage contract pricing and standardization, monitoring regional pricing and understanding national guidelines and financial objectives.Achieve sales objectives (revenue and gross margin) for top‑tier accounts and contribute to overall region sales performance.Determine utilization and deployment of regional experts (clinical, service, device, and contrast resources) to support the sales process.Execute the defined Radiology Sales Process and coordinate delivery of local and national resources to meet customer support needs.Collaborate with internal groups such as Customer Success Managers, portfolio account teams, service, clinical support, and National Accounts to ensure customer lifetime value and success.Synthesize information quickly and create Business Reviews based on insights and value for customers.Identify, understand, and leverage healthcare trends in engagement and the sales process.WHO YOU ARE & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.Valid and clean driving record with no points.Minimum of 7 years of directly related experience, with broad exposure to:Strategic Planning & ImplementationMedical device/pharma industrySales LeadershipMarket directionBudgetingBusiness InsightsCoaching & Talent DevelopmentCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSEmployees can expect a salary between $163,200.00 and $244,800.00, with potential bonus or commission.
