Summary: The Strategic Account Managers’ primary responsibilities are to manage the internal / external daily activities supporting their assigned Business Unit/s. The SAM is tasked to develop and cultivate externally focused customer relationships with the sole intent of growing/increasing new and existing sales profitably by performing the following duties.

Language Ability:
Must have English as primary language of business. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must posses the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent technical skills, proficient in the use of MS Office with strong intermediate Excel, Power Point and Outlook experience.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week, especially during peak activity periods. Attendance at evening/weekend meetings may be required. Position requires physical ability to travel domestically on commercial transportation up to 30% of their time, periodically weekend travel expected. Ability to carry sample packages and/or garments to client presentations and/or trade shows. To perform the job successfully, an individual should possess strong organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure, meet strict timelines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to meet sales deadlines with individuals/departments involved. Ability to work hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week, especially during peak activity periods. Attendance at evening/weekend meetings may be required.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual must be highly self-motivated and self-disciplined with ability to work effectively with little or no supervision. Must demonstrate outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships, particularly with business owners and purchasing agents. Good communicator—excellent listening skills and ability to undercover challenges a client might be experiencing.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of project management is preferred. Experience in similar and or corporate identity industry required. Apparel industry preferred.
