What we need: The Strategic Accounts Manager is a leading performer that manages and builds relationships with key accounts to drive sales. This role will be responsible for managing current accounts along with pursuing and acquiring new accounts that involve long term engagement to achieve both short-term and long-term sales objectives.

What youll do:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Pursue major account prospect opportunities regionally, nationally, and/or globally by collaborating with sales leadership and field sales team members to convert prospects into customer accounts.
  • Address customer concerns and work with internal teams, including marketing, product, and supply chain to manage accounts and close sales.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop strategic account plans to obtain and/or grow account sales.
  • Manage and own requests for information, requests for proposals, and other account requests by ensuring deadlines are met and issues are resolved.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics relevant to strategic accounts and utilize market insights to recommend initiatives that enhance sales.
  • Assist field sales employees with sales strategies and presentations to obtain new clients and grow sales.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

What you have:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
  • 6-8 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

What youre good at:

  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field.
  • Recognized cross-functionally as an expert within one or two subject matter areas.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.

What else?

  • Temporary indirect reporting relationships may exist while working as Project lead.
  • May be required to act in senior role, providing task related advise and direction to junior team members.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Pay Rate: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $112,000-$168,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the compensation package, which depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other company sponsored benefit programs.
