Strategic Communications AnalystThis role provides support to the STORM Engineering Directorate at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The Strategic Communications Analyst serves as a Strategic Operations and Communications Specialist responsible for supporting organizational leadership through strategic planning, operational coordination, and enterprise-level communication initiatives. The role leads the planning, coordination, and execution of organizational events, ceremonies, leadership engagements, and official functions.ResponsibilitiesActs as the primary lead for milestone documentation management across multiple Product Teams, overseeing actions from initial planning through final completion.Coordinates with stakeholders to develop, track, review, and finalize milestone packages.Maintains a comprehensive understanding of Product Team missions, priorities, and weapon system/product portfolios in order to effectively support strategic communications, messaging development, and leadership engagement efforts.Develops communication products, talking points, executive summaries, leadership remarks, and strategic messaging that accurately communicate organizational objectives, accomplishments, and program impacts to senior leaders and external audiences.Serves as the lead coordinator for public release actions and strategic communication reviews.Manages the staffing, review, and coordination process for documents, presentations, articles, media products, photographs, and other materials requiring public release approval.Ensures all products comply with organizational policies, operational security requirements, public affairs guidance, and higher headquarters release procedures prior to dissemination.Leads and supports process improvement initiatives by identifying workflow inefficiencies, evaluating current business operations, and implementing streamlined procedures to improve organizational effectiveness and mission execution.Coordinates and manages general staffing actions, including task management, action tracking, suspense coordination, staffing package development, and routing of decision documents through appropriate leadership channels.Works collaboratively across functional organizations, Product Teams, and leadership offices to synchronize efforts, resolve issues, improve communication flow, and strengthen operational integration across the enterprise.Provides strategic operational support to leadership by assisting with organizational planning efforts, cross-functional coordination, and execution of high-visibility initiatives critical to mission success.QualificationsBachelor's degree with 10 years of experience, Master's degree with 8 years of experience, or a high school diploma with 14 years of experience.Possess an Active DoD security clearance at the Secret or higher level.Two or more years of experience dealing with the release of information to the public through official channels.Two or more years of experience coordinating between functional areas and leadership of an organization for development/formulation of essential messaging for the entire staff.Two or more years of experience coordinating with graphics personnel and other organizations in the development of planning activities in support of special functions and initiative programs.Two or more years of professional writing experience ensuring proper details, grammar and style.Two or more years of experience dealing with acquisition programs and have developed a fundamental knowledge of Army Acquisition life cycles is preferred.Systems Studies and Simulation, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
