Strategic Communications Analyst

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Strategic Communications Analyst to support the Aviation Turbine Engine Project Office. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Execute media relations program for Project Office, including responding to media queries, researching topics, developing and coordinating messages, and preparing background and talking points for leadership interviews.

• Develop and maintain strategic communication plans and strategic engagement calendars.

• Develop articles for various outlets to document significant events and milestones as well as human-interest stories.

• Coordinate the public release process for articles involving Project Office-managed programs.

• Research, review, and analyze industry reports, media articles, and social media engagement to inform communications programs and support messaging.

• Provide communications advice and counsel to leadership regarding relevant policies and programs.

• Collaborate and coordinate with PEO Aviation staff on media engagements and requests, ensuring consistency of message delivered.

• Maintain internal Project Office communications by developing and disseminating key messages and information.

• Identify strategic outreach opportunities.

• Create exciting and results-focused tailored multi-media communications products.

• Write, edit, and proofread compelling content for web, print, and social media: e.g., infographics, brochures, ads, e-newsletters, media advisories, and briefings.

Required Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• Demonstrated experience in a variety of communication areas (e.g., marketing, social media, public relations, trade shows, etc.).

• Experience with MS Office Suite and MS SharePoint.

• Must be a U.S. citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Aviation and Department of Defense knowledge are a plus.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders effectively.

• Ability to manage complex assignments and projects involving offices and multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
