Strategic Initiatives Lead Buffalo, NY (Hybrid 3 days onsite/2 days remote; required & no exceptions) 6+ month contract Web Cam Interview $50.00-$55.00/hr. on W2 Notes From Manager / Required Skills & Exp.: Candidates will be part of a large-scale transformation project, leading multiple teams to document business requirements and future-state process flows to guide the creation of test scripts for system implementation. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in leading business requirements documentation for projects of a similar nature, with some prior Banking Servicing and/or Operations experience (e.g. experience with the business domain). Candidates with AFSVision experience are desired - other similar platform experience (e.g. LoanIQ, Client) will also be helpful. These roles are posted for Buffalo, as that is where the majority of the project team is located. Ideal candidates within the M&T footprint will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Skill Set 1: Experience in leading documentation of business requirements, process flows, and test cases Skill Set 2: Experience leading teams on large-scale projects (e.g. system migrations, business transformation) Skill Set 3: Experience with Loan Servicing operations and/or technology (i.e. AFSVision, LoanIQ, Client) Can this role be fulfilled remotely? No Overview: Works closely with senior managers within a division and the Bank to manage key initiatives, including supporting critical Division/Department cross-functional projects related to strategic objectives of the Bank, improving risk management and ensuring efficiency and sustainability of core processes and positioning the Bank to meet evolving regulatory expectations. Leads department, division, or cross-functional teams of up to 10-20. May directly manage staff. Primary Responsibilities: Lead efforts to define scope/approach for department initiatives. Direct and monitor resources. May be responsible on an individual basis for directing complex, critical, and highly visible projects for the division. Provide analytical expertise to support initiatives that may include planning, design and analysis of results, presenting content at various governance functions, development of comprehensive content and materials, analysis of complex data sets, or analysis/optimization of data structures. Consider stakeholder perspectives, address objections, help develop solutions, and drive action. Interact with senior management (internal/external) to obtain pertinent information. Directly or indirectly manage staff. Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
