The Strategic Insights Analyst supports the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of operational, clinical, financial, and ancillary reporting. The Analyst works with business stakeholders and more senior analytics team members to translate defined reporting needs into accurate dashboards, reports, and data deliverables.

This role builds foundational capability in SQL, data modeling, business intelligence tools, KPI development, and data storytelling. The Analyst also supports the organization's report inventory, documentation, governance, and self-service reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and update standard reports, dashboards, and recurring data deliverables that support operational, clinical, financial, marketing, human resources, and ancillary reporting needs. 20%
• Write, validate, and troubleshoot SQL queries used to retrieve, combine, and analyze data from approved data sources. 15%
• Support the development, maintenance, and general enhancement of Power BI, Sigma, or comparable business intelligence solutions. 15%
• Assist with requirements gathering by documenting stakeholder needs, business rules, data definitions, expected outcomes, and reporting specifications. 10%
• Perform data validation, quality assurance, and reconciliation to confirm the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of reporting outputs. 15%
• Maintain report inventories, technical documentation, data definitions, and standard operating procedures to support reporting consistency and continuity. 10%
• Monitor existing reports and dashboards for data issues, performance concerns, user needs, or required updates. 10%
• Respond to routine reporting questions and provide basic user support for approved analytics products. 5%

Additional Job Functions:

• Develop working knowledge of organizational KPIs, reporting standards, data governance requirements, and business processes.
• Support self-service reporting capabilities and help users navigate approved analytics tools and reporting resources.
• Participate in continuous learning related to SQL, data modeling, business intelligence tools, KPI development, and data storytelling.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in analytics, data science, information systems, computer science, business, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field is required.
• 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, or a related analytical function is required.
• Experience working with SQL and relational data structures is required.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, recurring analytical deliverables, or structured data outputs is required.
• Experience with business intelligence or visualization platforms such as Power BI, Sigma, Tableau, or comparable tools is required.
• Must demonstrate strong data analysis, data validation, quality assurance, and report development skills.
• Must demonstrate strong requirements documentation, attention to detail, business literacy, and data literacy skills.
