Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a Strategic Marketing and Engagement Specialist. Serves as the lead storytelling and audience engagement partner for the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB). This position reports to the Dean and serves as a collaborative resource for the entire college working closely with department heads, program directors, and center directors to elevate the visibility, reputation, and impact of MCCB across UNGs five campuses. The Strategic Marketing & Engagement Manager is also an embedded member of UNGs broader integrated communications and marketing ecosystem, working in close partnerships. They will help translate the colleges priorities, programs, student experiences, faculty expertise, alumni success, and workforce impact into compelling stories and experiences that strengthen recruitment, engagement, alumni affinity, employer partnerships, and institutional reputation. They will collect and use data to create marketing messages and drive college decisions. The successful candidate will combine strategic marketing planning with hands-on storytelling, digital engagement, content development, event-based audience activation, and brand stewardship. This role requires a highly collaborative communicator who can integrate college-level priorities with university-wide messaging, campaigns, and brand alignment.

Understanding of integrated marketing planning and audience engagement strategy. Experience using analytics and performance insights to guide marketing decisions and evaluate effectiveness.
Familiarity with higher education culture and the dynamics of student recruitment, alumni engagement, and institutional reputation-building.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities and deadlines
Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to identify and develop authentic, audience-centered narratives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across multiple platforms and audiences.
Deep fluency across social media and digital engagement platforms, including content strategy, audience development, analytics, and emerging trends.
Ability to think strategically while executing tactically in a fast-paced environment. Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across faculty, staff, students, alumni, employers, and external partners.
Ability to balance decentralized college priorities with university-wide communications strategy and brand alignment.
