Role Summary As a Staff Program Manager, you will spearhead high-impact technical and operational projects that elevate our systems to new heights. You will be responsible for driving systemic change, owning the strategy and scale of our mobile fleet operations, and fostering deep cross-functional collaboration. This role requires a leader who can define the future of the mobile fleet ensuring accountability and operational excellence across the market. In this capacity, you will own the end-to-end strategic planning, vehicle allocation, policy design, and operational excellence of our Mobile Service vehicle fleet. Responsibilities Scale Operations: Implement scalable operations solutions that support Rivian's growth trajectory and maintain our position as an industry leader Program Leadership: Provide regular executive updates on project progress, proactively identifying roadblocks and driving issue resolution to enhance the customer and team member experience Fleet Accountability: Drive overall fleet accountability through new processes and program adjustments through the lifecycle the mobile service vehicles Vehicle Decommissioning: Drive the strategic oversight of fleet cycle out, optimizing asset utilization and maximizing financial returns Mobile Service Strategy & Roadmap: Own the overall mobile service strategy, long-range vehicle forecasting, and coverage/capacity model planning Mobile Vehicle Fleet Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of mobile vehicles, including vehicle services setup, change management, alert follow-ups, and initial assignments Policy Design & Adherence: Design and enforce policies regarding take-home vehicle usage, service hours, driving hours, and on-site compliance standards for the mobile fleet Budget and Forecasting: Create, manage and update the Mobile Service forecast and budget, incorporating a fleet strategy that accounts for program scale, changing demand, mobile-first targets, and fleet mix Vendor & Tooling Management: Manage relationships with upfitters, tooling providers, and vehicle service vendors while driving tooling audits and fulfillment Field Support & Operational Health: Deliver operational support for allocations, tooling, and supply distribution, while facilitating vehicle safety audits, inspections, and PM compliance Non-RivOS Systems Management: Establish day-to-day operations and standards using external platforms like Geotab, Emkay, Bluedot, and MoveEV Program Budget & Compliance: Manage the program budget and maintain strict operational compliance with legal, tax, and corporate policy standards B2B Mobile Readiness: Drive operational systems and processes to ensure full B2B mobile readiness Data & Analytics: Define and build mobile fleet reporting dashboard requirements in partnership with the Analytics team Qualifications Strategic Leadership: Exceptional ability to set clear objectives and align complex system efforts with overarching organizational goals Operational Excellence: Proven track record of optimizing processes and reducing costs through innovative technical solutions Data-Driven Decision Making: Expert at utilizing data analytics to enhance fleet performance and ensure strict adherence to industry standards Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to build relationships across departments to integrate fleet systems seamlessly with broader business functions Data and Technical Management: Experience and aptitude with platforms like JIRA, Confluence, Hex and databricks for reporting, analytics, and dashboards Risk Management: Proactive approach to identifying potential system risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure fleet safety and reliability Continuous Improvement: Champion of a culture of continuous improvement, staying ahead of industry trends and implementing best practices for system evolution Resource Optimization: Efficiently manages complex resources, including budgets, personnel, and large-scale vehicle data, to maximize operational efficiency Fleet Operations: Proven experience managing mobile fleet logistics, tooling fulfillment, vendor relations, and third-party tools like Geotab, Emkay, Bluedot, or MoveEV Education: Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of industry experience Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, sit, or walk for 8-10 hours per day Required to communicate using phone, computer and/or e-mail Ability to view, read, and interpret documents Ability to perform all duties in an office environment that may contain ambient noise and temperature fluctuations Pay Disclosure The salary range for this role is $102,300 to $135,580 for Atlanta, GA based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26, including but not limited to paid vacation, paid sick leave, and a competitive portfolio of insurance benefits including life, medical, dental, vision, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance to eligible employees.
