Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics, auto, OEMs, telecom, e-Commerce/retail, apps, ads, gaming, or technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or JD degree.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional partnership initiatives with a significant impact on business outcomes.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic partnership opportunities that align with business objectives.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of securing favorable terms and building consensus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to and influencing executives.

About the job

As the Strategic Partner Development Lead, you will advocate our Go-To-Market (GTM) efforts to establish a Private Equity (PE) and Venture Capital (VC) deployment channel for Gemini and our broader GenAI portfolio. You will architect a partnership strategy within the investment community, cultivating executive relationships with firms and driving portfolio-wide GenAI adoption. You will structure complex, first-of-their-kind formal agreements that move beyond standard distribution to establish bespoke technical integrations and dedicated deployment frameworks. A critical enabler for your success will be your ability to orchestrate cross-Product Area (xPA) and cross-functional teams—including Product, Engineering, Finance, and Legal. By balancing different internal priorities, you will bring highly complex, multi-layered agreements to fruition. Exceptional executive communication and strategic alignment skills will be paramount to scaling this ecosystem.

Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $140000 - $204000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefitsLearn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee partner engagement and relationship by tracking business/technology metrics and insights, building business forecasts, and ensuring strong brand/reputation management.
  • Oversees strategic relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders/teams to drive the best partner experience and ensure product excellence.
  • Oversee end-to-end partner experience to ensure agreement integration which includes negotiating and finalizing agreements, executing on account plans, pitching to partners, resolving partner issues and advocating on behalf of the partner.
  • Oversee partner strategy, including new partner and opportunity prospecting.
  • Conduct partner/industry research and collaborate on product strategy.
