Preference is for the position to be based in New Orleans, LA, but could be domiciled in Hammond, LA;The Woodlands, TX; Jackson, MS; or Little Rock, AR. The position and work posture is Hybrid (will work from both home office and Entergy office per guidance from Manager), but will require at least 20% travel to the field and corporate offices across the company's businesses.
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Lead, SC Standards & Processes-Procurement reports to the Manager, Category Management (Knowledge & Process Excellence), and often works closely with various leaders across the enterprise. This is a Senior Staff position which designs, develops, composes, and administers the standards, procedures and processes that guide the organization's standard way of working related to Procurement. The position will work closely with all procurement and supply chain departments to ensure that processes are well documented, readily available, and effective.
For the purposes of this role scope does not include Sourcing; the plan, strategy, source and perform of the Sourcing, Negotiating or Contracting, but it shall include Materials activities which correlate with Procurement within the end-to-end process of Materials Management. The position shall work very closely with the respective Leads for Supply Chain Standards & Processes for both Sourcing and Materials.
The lead will provide expertise in leading and developing standard procedures and processes related to Procurement activities such as purchase-to-pay, operational purchasing, category purchasing, contract purchasing, services, PO and invoice management & reconciliation. The lead will also provide other coordination and related deliverables that enable effective, informed, and valuable interaction with stakeholders, and application where applicable with supply chain systems and solutions.
The position delivers value to the company by developing streamlined procedures and consistency, supporting ongoing process improvement and enabling world class performance through ensuring procurement and supply chain's standard methods of working for Procurement.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience. MS/MBA preferred. Professional supply chain/procurement certification preferred.
Minimum experience required of the position
9 years of experience in Procurement processes, management and administration, with Lean Process expertise.
Related Energy supply chain experience preferred.
