    Description

    About the Role

We're a pre-seed AI-powered talent marketplace connecting exceptional candidates with high-growth startups. As the marketplace scales, we're seeing strong network effects emerge on both sides — and we're looking for a Strategic Project Lead to own and grow the demand side of the marketplace: the companies hiring through our platform.

This is not a traditional sales role. You'll own the full client journey — from identifying promising companies and building relationships with startup leaders, to onboarding clients, ensuring their success, and turning what works into a repeatable growth engine. You'll work directly alongside the founding team with significant autonomy to experiment and execute.

The role is intentionally designed as a launchpad: high performers have a clear path toward a General Manager position with broader ownership of the business.

    What You'll Do

    • Own company acquisition end-to-end — from prospecting and initial outreach through onboarding and activation of new clients.
    • Build trusted, advisory-level relationships with founders, executives, and talent leaders at high-growth startups.
    • Develop a deep understanding of each company's hiring needs and translate them into successful searches on the platform.
    • Execute multichannel GTM strategies spanning outbound, referrals, partnerships, events, and content.
    • Write and optimize email and LinkedIn outbound sequences that consistently generate qualified conversations.
    • Conduct cold calls and run highly personalized outreach campaigns.
    • Experiment rapidly with new messaging, channels, customer segments, and commercial models — then codify what works into scalable, repeatable processes.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with talent and product teams to improve matching quality, client experience, and marketplace liquidity.
    • Track the full demand funnel, identify conversion bottlenecks, and take ownership of improving performance at every stage.

    What We're Looking For

    Required

    • 1–2+ years of experience in a client-facing, commercial, business development, growth, consulting, or operations role.
    • Background in a high-performance environment — venture-backed startup, management consulting, investment banking, or venture capital.
    • Proven ability to execute multichannel outbound GTM strategies and craft effective outbound sequences.
    • Comfort with cold calling and highly personalized outreach at scale.
    • Strong relationship-building instincts — able to earn trust with founders and senior executives quickly.
    • Bias toward experimentation and a track record of turning learnings into repeatable systems.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship and able to work on-site in San Francisco, CA (visa sponsorship is not available for this role).

    Nice to Have

    • Prior experience in recruiting, HR tech, or talent acquisition.
    • Existing network within the startup and venture ecosystem.
    • Experience in marketplace businesses or two-sided platform dynamics.

    Location

This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area. Visa sponsorship is not available.

    Compensation & Benefits

Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process. As an early-stage startup, we offer competitive salary and meaningful equity upside, along with the opportunity to grow into a senior leadership role as the company scales.
